In May 2022, I had the opportunity to work for a month at the Fish Factory in Stöðvarfjörður in Iceland. An old fish factory, changed into artist studios, in a remote small village with 180 inhabitants on the Eastern fjords. I also travelled around for three weeks. It was a nice balance between traveling through the incredibly spectacular nature and a period of peace and quiet in the least crowded part of Iceland, where I could concentrate on my drawings. The weather could change radically in one day. The solid massive, ancient landscape could suddenly change into absence and emptiness.
